Ca L’Ordal is a modernist style house built in 1894 by the architects Joan Rubió and Francesc Balaguer. The facade has a strong historical aspect with its structure of a farmhouse with a basilica plan and a two-sided roof. The back part, on the other hand, is built on different levels and bodies, with a certain “romanic church” style.
The central part of the building in which we currently find the 462 m2 main house was completely renovated between 2004 and 2006. It has three floors, plus a lower floor with a garden. It is recognized as a single-family home, although by making the necessary procedures and changes, it could also be used for other uses (multi-family housing or tourist apartments).
The lower floor of 222.4 m2 includes a small bathroom, a cellar and a 40 m2 room with vertical windows opening onto the 70 m2 garden. It features a porch with arcades that offer different possibilities, and on the other side of the garden we find a study room with kitchen ideal for more informal celebrations or events.
The ground floor of 115.8 m2 has a large distributor that leads to a 40 m2 room with original wooden windows that could also be accessed directly from the porch. It has access to a 20 m2 terrace located on the patio, overlooking the park.
The first floor of 103.7 m2 has a 40 m2 room with wooden windows on both facades, a high-end kitchen with an original wooden window, also with views of the house´s garden and the public garden. On this floor there is also a bathroom and a bedroom in a unique room with high ceilings.
The plant under cover of 90.3 m2 is designed on two levels, on the highest deck we can find a wide and diaphanous room underpinned by charming beams of pine, on the lower deck we find a bedroom, a bathroom and a storage room. Overlooking the courtyard, there is a covered gallery behind an interesting brick lattice.
This same project includes a loft of 25 m2 to take advantage of the imposing height of the floor under cover, which in this case is pending construction.
