Helena Jornet Finques sponsors the 62nd edition of the Porta Ferrada Festival
One more year, Helena Jornet Finques has sponsored the Porta Ferrada Festival in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, which in its 62nd edition has managed to confirm its leadership as one of the most important cultural events on the Costa Brava and in Catalonia, being, without a doubt, the musical reference of southern Europe.
Fifty shows held over two months have filled seven spaces in Sant Feliu de Guíxols with music, performing arts and other artistic expressions that have stood out for their quality and diversity.
The program has featured internationally, nationally and regionally renowned artists who have given memorable performances. Highlights include performances by Tom Jones, Gregory Porter, Amaral, Robe, Hombres G, Figa Flawas, Gene Simmons, Two Door Cinema Club, Antònia Font, Andrea Motis, Ara Malikian, Maria del Mar Bonet and Madeleine Peyroux.
Classical music has had its own cycle with three performances at the Monastery, dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach with concerts by Pierre Hantaï, Fabio Biondi and Miklós Perényi, and with a concert at the Theater of the Camerata de Música Catalana, conducted by Jofre Bardolet, with Carles Marigó on the piano, with a repertoire entirely by Catalan composers: Toldrà, Garreta, Lamote de Grignon, Brotons, and Bardolet and Marigó themselves.
