Helena Jornet Finques, alongside Club Nàutic Sant Feliu de Guíxols once again

Once again this year, Helena Jornet Finques is the official sponsor of Club Nàutic Sant Feliu de Guíxols (CNSFG), the town's yacht club. We continue to support an organisation that is much more than a marina: it is the school where hundreds of local children learn to sail, the organiser of some of the leading regattas on the Catalan coast and a meeting place for families and members all year round. With the 2026 season drawing to a close, here is a look back at everything that goes on there.
Sailing: from the school to top-level competition
The club's sporting calendar opened in February with the Guíxols Cup, now in its eleventh edition, which every winter brings sailors from clubs across Catalonia to the bay in the youth training classes. It continued with the 55th Guíxols Medes Regatta, 75 nautical miles counting towards the Catalan Championship, and in summer with the 51st Single-handed and Double-handed Regatta, the 43rd Trofeu President and the Veterans' Regatta, as well as the end-of-term regattas of the Sailing School. Sailors trained at the club now compete in Catalan, Spanish, European and world championships, and this September the CNSFG hosted five Nacra 17 crews from Australia, Switzerland, China and France for a fortnight of Olympic preparation, drawn by the wind and sea conditions of the central Costa Brava.
Rowing and fishing, the other sections
The rowing section has had a landmark year: the club's first appearance at a Spanish Championship of Mediterranean llaüt rowing, with a men's and a women's veterans' crew, preparation for the Bandera de la Concha and a new dry-training area. The club's Sea Fishing Association took part in the Spanish Anchored-boat Fishing Championship and organised coastal trolling days, theory sessions on squid and cuttlefish fishing and, every summer, the Fishing School for children.
A club open to the town
The CNSFG is also a social hub: the Members' Night in August, with recognition for the longest-standing members; the first Youth Party on the club terrace; the Black and White Charity Party, which in July brought together 175 people and 46 supporting local businesses and raised €6,000 for the Fundació Guíxols Surís; and activities for the whole family, such as the Cala Vigatà Treasure Hunt and the celebration of the Mare de Déu del Carme, the patron saint of seafarers. At Helena Jornet Finques we are especially proud to have stood alongside the club in all the activities that bring it closer to the town.
Training, sustainability and the future
The club trains new sailors through its boat licence courses and the Nautical School, and works for a cleaner sea: ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications, seabed clean-ups with the town's diving centres, the Biohut habitats that shelter native marine life in the harbour and the new black and grey water pump-out service for boats. In 2026 it also completed a €2.5 million investment in improving the harbour, with the cliff wall as the final phase, and took the town to the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Barcelona Boat Show.
Helena Jornet Finques congratulates the board, the technical team, the coaches, the families and the members on such a full season. We share with the CNSFG a passion for the sea and for sport, professionalism, dedication and responsibility towards the environment and its natural resources, and we look forward to another season at its side.
