This weekend has been the last modality of the IV Guíxols Cup organized by the Club Nàutic de Sant Feliu
Helena Jornet Finques sponsors again the Guíxols Cup organized by the Club Nàutic de Sant Feliu de Guíxols for the fourth consecutive year.
The different modalities of the Guíxols Cup have been celebrated in three weekends. On the 12th and 13th of January the lasers started the regatta and Ricard Castellví and Arnau Gelí won the Radial i 4.7 modality. On January 26 and 27, Patrícia Figuerola in Europe and the duo Nacho Dávila and Javier Mestre in 420 won the victory. This last weekend, 23rd and 24th of February, the competition ended with the Optimist classes, and Daniel Garcia in Group 1 and Mar Fernández in Group 2, have been proclaimed champions.
Good assessment of the IV Guíxols Cup
More than 250 sailors have participated in the IV Guíxols Cup among lasers, Europas, 420 and Optimist. Club Nàutic Sant Feliu manager, Maribel Vela, believes that the Guíxols Cup "has established itself as one of the most attractive regattas of the Circuit de Catalunya" and emphasise the satisfaction of the participating clubs and the sailors, who say that they feel very welcome and want to return year after year. Some of the most outstanding compliments are the good wind conditions of Sant Feliu or the good organization of the regatta, which since the last edition is celebrated in three different weekends to offer a more curious attention to the participants and more comfort and spaciousness to the spaces.
