Six years walking against cancer in Parlavà

Helena Jornet Finques sponsors the 6th Solidarity Walk of the Parlavà delegation of the Oncolliga Girona Foundation.

On Sunday 7th May, Nuri and Josep, with the help of Iaiza, finally made it possible, after three years postponed due to the pandemic, to organise a Solidarity Walk from the Parlavà delegation of the Oncolliga Girona Foundation, in favour of people with cancer and their families.

The walk started from Mobles Ribas and consisted of four different routes of 3, 7, 13, and 15 kilometres, suitable for anyone who wanted to participate.

The participation included refreshment points along the route, small snacks and a magnificent popular lunch of pinxos, botifarra and pa amb tomàquet and wine, to regain strength after the walk.

The day ends with an exciting raffle among the participants of the Walk, Helena Jornet Finques raffled a gift to be used to book any of the tourist apartments or holiday homes at any time of the year.

The 6th Solidarity Walk has exceeded the objectives of the last edition. It had 347 participants and raised €4,897, which will go entirely to the Fundació Oncolliga Girona, to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families.
